D2 Final - J Clark

Company Name: DGEE'S

Companies Services: This is a restaurant that is designed strictly for dogs. Owners have the choice to either drop their dogs off, or stay and assist their dogs. The inside of the building is dog friend, with not a lot of thing that they can break but enough to make the restaurant extremely luxurious for them (the dogs). dogs are served everything from drinks, appetizers, main course, and desserts. This is the real deal and hopefully something new for dogs and dog lovers to be excited about.

Sore locations: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ada, Oklahoma, Lawton, Oklahoma, Edmond, Oklahoma, tulsa, Oklahoma Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Target Groups: The target groups are most definitely for dogs. Old or young there is a menu for all ages. This experiment is more so to see how well the idea blooms. If it blooms like we expect well start to expand into other states, but as for now its strictly areas in oklahoma.

Company Slogan: "Dogs gotta eat too!"

Font: MonotypeCorsiva
Size: 20 pt

Commerical Design:im not sure why this is so pixed. because it not like that at all on my computer.

Package designs:     This is simply the "to go" bag if you will, if the dog doesn't finish his plate.
This is the letterhead this is sent to all of the dog owners in specific areas. this is simply and invitation notifying all dog lovers what we plan on doing for them and their dogs.
This is the specific way that each and ever letter is sent to our (hopefully) customers.

Web page:
I definitely was going for a clean elegant edgy page. Its simply and straight to the point. there are twitter, youtube, Facebook, and mobile icons which make destinations easy for computer illiterate people. it include the logo in the upper left corner along with the slogan. and powerpoint of media picture of happy customers, and the side bar is actually a scroll that i made.

Store Front Design:
As you can see i stuck with simple, the logo in real for making a type of pole type in front of the building with the grand opening sign and if you look closely you can see the reflection on the pole in the window. I didn't want to add any people number one i could find any the i could manipulate and make them look as if they fit. (shade and all) so i thought if i couldn't accomplish it i should leave it out.

Inside of Building:

Other Things:
The menu of items for the dogs.

  1. I think this was a cute idea. I think it would be funny if you did the commercial with a dog barking and subtitles below telling what he said!

  2. This project should win a award for the most creative idea. A restaurant for dogs - that's awesome! And the interior with the dogs sitting at the tables is adorable, and it appears that the dogs are enjoying themselves. The name of your company is just as creative as your idea, and I love how you used a dog bone for the apostrophe. However, the website needs some cleaning up because the alignments look kinda off there. Overall, this project is very good.

  3. I think this project was a very interesting idea you created. There were overall a few minor problems, most were pointed out in class, I believe, but nothing that can't be fixed. In your style sheet, like Aaron said something-of-the-sort, remove the post holding up your sign/logo. Since it's present on the style sheet, it will confuse some into thinking that the post and sign is the ENTIRE representation of the logo. On the other hand, I DID understand what you meant in class: that your logo would be on a sign that hung from a post. On the billboard, it's a bit hard to read the pictures (going down a highway, for example) on the move, so you could always clean up some the lines (removing) or thicken the stroke on the images. As for the letter, oh my gosh girl! Though the pale peachy color is pretty, either darken the text or change the peachy color so it's easier to read. My eyes! My eyes! lol, just kidding! As for your storefront, I totally get it! Despite what was said in class, I have seen this "look" before MANY TIMES in Oklahoma, most especially in Edmond! I think the storefront you used would appeal to your exact target audience, no problem. Post included! Everything else was okay, and I will point out that your commercial made me laugh and that's always a good thing! Very cool idea overall. Have a great summer! :)

  4. Well I think the idea of a dog restaurant is cute and I like the fact that you were thinking outside of the box on the logo and using a complex object for your enclosure shape. As far as the billboard...i dont know what happened but it looks a bit warped. Im sorry but Id have to agree with Aaron and them. It is very hard to read the letter. It might work better if you used a darker color for the font than the background. I know you really liked the white but it might still look really cool with like a silvery looking font or brown...The website seems a bit empty but it may be because there are no pictures in there. The store front looks real.

  5. I have to agree with Candace on the logo design, while I did understand what you were saying about the post coming into play because it will be holding the main logo and thus be changing the color to match, I think it might have been easier to just show the logo itself while leaving off the post. On the billboard I like the concept, but the text on the bottom might be a bit much to read while driving, maybe you could keep everything on top and just put the exit to take along the bottom. I also agree with the letter being a bit hard to read with both colors being a bit close, maybe just make the text a little bit darker or even try making the background a little darker to create more of a contrast between the two.

  6. Very interesting and unique concept! Although there needs to be a little fine tuning, I think you did fairly well. I understand what you were trying to do with the post and unlike some of the other people, I like the idea.

  7. This was probably the most unique concept in the whole class! There were some things I liked and some I didn't. The colors made sense. The billboard was a little too simply done, but I like the concept. The letterhead was a little hard to read, but a simple color change on the font would fix it. The website is also very simple, but adding pictures of your customers over time is great idea. The building outside looked pretty good, and the interior only needed a few touch ups. Really ambitious overall!

  8. I really like your letterhead, I think it's my favorite thing out off all of your pieces. I probably would have either darkened the background if you're really wanting the white text and designs, or just went with black designs and font for the sake of people having an easier time reading it. I also like that your logo is your sign, I thought that was kind of crafty and I liked that people can look for a physical recreation of your logo next to the street beside your building.
